Island Pools have been innovative in construction. Not only in the type of materials used, such as the use of polypropylene honeycomb composite materials, the introduction of quartz stone into resins, textured decking for stairs (anti-slip) and fibre-optic lighting (set within the laminates of the pool) to name but a few, but also in the construction methods used: pre-fabricated, free-standing, moulded pools, splash-free shadow edging and concealed lighting are examples worth mentioning.
